1. The Captain’s Table Restaurant
There’s nothing better than enjoying fresh seafood with views overlooking Charlotte Harbor! Captain’s Table is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week and is located in the historic Fishermen’s Village. Their menu includes appetizers such as the Captain’s corn chowder with lobster and shrimp and a Blue Lump crab cake with roasted corn relish and a Cajun remoulade sauce, as well as a variety of surf and turf options, pasta, salads, and house-made desserts. Reservations are recommended but not required.
2. Burg’r Bar
Open Tuesday through Saturday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and Sunday for breakfast and lunch, the Burg’r Bar offers more than just an award-winning cheeseburger. Their breakfast menu includes everything from specialty pancakes and French toast to omelets and eggs benedict. You’ll find something from everyone on their lunch and dinner menu too! You’ve got to try the Gorda BBQ Burg’r topped with sauteed onions, bacon, cheddar cheese, and BBQ sauce on a brioche bun. 3. Carmelo's Italian Ristorante
Italian food is usually always a crowd-pleaser, and Carmelo’s is hands down one of the best restaurants in Punta Gorda FL! They serve dinner from 4 to 9 PM Monday through Saturday, and you can book a reservation online or place a to-go order. This downtown restaurant is perfect for date night, a birthday or anniversary celebration, or just because– after all, good food doesn’t require a special occasion! We highly recommend trying the lobster ravioli or another of their signature pasta dishes like the shrimp and scallops limoncello sautéed with artichokes, capers, sun-dried tomatoes, and garlic and finished with a sweet basil limoncello infused cream sauce tossed with pappardelle pasta.

You can get all of those mouthwatering combos and more at Dean’s South of the Border! They’re open 7 days a week and even serve breakfast; their breakfast burritos and tacos are incredible! 5. Smoke House Restaurant
If you’re looking for the best local breakfast joint in the area, look no further than Smoke House Restaurant. This beloved restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday until noon, and the breakfast menu features all of the classic breakfast options like biscuits and gravy, corned beef hash, country-fried steak, grits, omelets, pancakes, and more.
